About Military Flight Badges
Military Flight Badges is made by Woven On the Plains, a family shop in Auburn, Alabama. We laser engrave name tags and flight badges every day, including the leatherette flight badges air medical crews wear on their flight suits.
Why we built this
Ordering a flight name tag usually means a form, a guess and a wait. We wanted the opposite: pick your branch, see the exact tag as you type it, and have it made to order and often on the way the next business day.
How we make them
- Wings drawn from the official insignia, checked against the real badges, sized the way real tags are.
- Branch layouts based on measured tags: margins, letter height and spacing taken from real squadron tags.
- Laser engraved leatherette (faux leather): the laser reveals the gold or silver color underneath, so the lettering is created directly in the tag's material, with no surface-applied ink or foil.
- Checked by hand before every tag goes on the laser.
Not an official product
We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Defense or any branch. Insignia are used to make tags for the people who earned them.
