Military Flight Badges

Questions

Everything people ask before ordering a flight name tag. Something else? Send us a message.

What do I get for $25?

One 2 x 4 inch engraved tag with hook-and-loop backing. Most aviators order two, one for the flight suit and one for the jacket. Set the quantity before you add it to the cart (up to 20 of the same tag), or build another.

Is it real leather?

No. It is leatherette (faux leather), laser engraved. It looks and feels like a leather tag, takes a sharp engraving, and keeps its color and shape when it gets wet or sweaty.

Engraved or embossed?

Engraved. A laser removes the top layer to reveal the gold or silver color underneath. The lettering is created directly in the tag’s material, with no surface-applied ink or hot-stamped foil. The result is crisp, durable lettering designed for everyday wear.

What size is it?

2 x 4 inches, the standard flight name tag size. The back is hook-and-loop hook side, which sticks to the loop patch already on flight suits and most flight jackets.

Can I see it before I order?

Yes. The builder draws your exact tag as you type: wings, colors, letter style and layout. That preview is the file we engrave, and every order is checked by hand before it goes on the laser.

Which colors can I get?

Black / silver, black / gold, brown / silver, brown / gold. Each branch page starts on the most common colors for that branch.

Can I use my call sign?

Yes, on every branch. Type it in the call sign box and it replaces your first name, in quotes: "SPARK" CALDWELL. Check with your unit for anything worn on duty.

How fast does it ship?

Every tag is made to order in Auburn, Alabama and often ships the next business day. It travels USPS Ground Advantage, usually 2 to 5 business days inside the US (APO/FPO takes longer). The cart shows your shipping cost before you pay, and you get a tracking number when it ships.

Do you ship to APO, FPO and DPO addresses?

Yes. Enter the APO, FPO or DPO address at checkout, with AA, AE or AP as the state.

Is it guaranteed?

Yes. Every tag is checked against your preview before it ships. If it arrives damaged in shipping or does not match the preview you approved, send a photo with the damaged tag form within 14 days and we replace it free.

Can I return it?

Each tag is made just for you, so we can't take it back for a change of mind. If it arrives damaged in shipping or does not match the preview you approved, send a photo with the damaged tag form within 14 days and we replace it free.

Is this tag allowed on my uniform?

We follow the uniform manuals where they describe the tag and common squadron practice where they don't (see the branch guides). Your command has the final word for anything worn on duty.

Can you do a whole squadron or a winging class?

Yes. Build the first tag, then tap Add to cart and build the next name. Wings, colors and layout stay set, so each person only needs a name and rank. How squadron orders work.

My wings are not listed.

Tell us which insignia you need with the wing request form; a photo of the badge helps. We only add wings drawn from the official badge.

Who makes these?
